Strength training in aortic valve insufficiency

Hello,

Maybe my question would be better suited in cardiology but I'll ask it here anyway: About 12 years ago, I was diagnosed with aortic valve insufficiency (bicuspid aortic valve). In recent years, it has been classified as Grade 2 without any changes.
Results of the current examination:
End-diastolic diameter 61mm, aortic bulb 44mm, ascending aorta 41mm, good contractility, stress ECG normal with good endurance.
I am 36 years old, 1.93m tall and weigh around 90kg.

I cycle to work about 2 times a week (one way 15km) and in my free time I do mountain biking and road cycling, but without any competitive ambitions. Two years ago, I started doing strength training twice a week for about 1 hour.
During the last examination, my cardiologist advised me against weightlifting. This would not be an easy step for me, so I wanted to get a second opinion.
Would it be better to focus more on endurance training? In that case, I wouldn't have to completely eliminate weights.

Thank you in advance.

Regards
