Occasional nosebleeds

Hello, occasionally I suffer from nosebleeds. But it always comes from the left nostril. Rarely, I also had a bit of blood in my saliva in the mornings.

I went to the ENT doctor, who quickly looked into my nose and said there was nothing there. It could have been a small blood vessel. But can it happen occasionally?

I am afraid that there may be something wrong in my head, that this nosebleed originates from the head. A CT scan of my sinuses was done in October 2015 with no findings. In March 2015, I had an MRI of the head, and nothing was found there either.

Can something develop in the head or nose in such a short time? I am somewhat worried about this.

Thank you for your response!

Dear questioner,

Reflux can also cause acidic species to burn more. Omeprazole 20 mg is now also available without a prescription, if you were to take it once a week it should be better. Consider consulting with an ENT specialist again.

Otherwise, sleep with an elevated upper body, eat little before going to bed, especially nothing fatty.

Best regards, C. Welsch
