almost one-sided tonsillitis - unclear constellation

Hello

I have apparently had tonsillitis for two days with slight difficulty swallowing. What confuses me is the following: Only the right tonsil is noticeably red, the left one hardly at all. The arches of the palate are also red, but less so. I have attached a picture for evaluation (the white coating on the tongue is normal for me due to chronic sinusitis).

I have no fever, and no other symptoms similar to a cold. Other than feeling chills at the beginning and feeling quite weak for two days, I don't feel anything other than difficulty swallowing. Of course, I am glad about that, but I wonder if I should have this specific condition checked by a doctor, because it might be something completely different? And is there anything specific I can do?

Dear questioner, such an image cannot replace an examination by an ENT specialist, that looks purulent and should be treated with antibiotics. Regards, Welsch
