Trimidura and heart
January 26, 2015 | 20,00 EUR | answered by Dr. med. Frauke Gehring
Good evening.
I suffer from ADHD, depression, and anxiety, I am 21 years old and my psychiatrist has prescribed Trimidura drops (40mg/ml) for me. I should start with 5-20 drops in the evening. However, I have a non-pathological incomplete right bundle branch block. Is this concerning or not concerning?
Thank you in advance!
Good evening,
A right bundle branch block has nothing to do with the QT interval prolongation that can occur with Trimipramine. Therefore, you can safely take the medication. Please, however, have a follow-up ECG done after a few weeks.
All the best!
Warm regards, Dr. Höllering
