No bowel movement

Hello, I have not had a regular bowel movement for several days now, the last time I had to go was 5 days ago. I don't feel any urge to go to the bathroom for a long time. When I try to have a bowel movement and push, sometimes a little bit comes out (today was such a case), although not much comes out without feeling any urge.
I only eat once a day, I have tried different pills that could help me but nothing has helped. Additionally, my stomach (I am a bit overweight) is a bit larger on the right side than on the left (this has been the case for months). Is there a connection? I am not feeling nauseous, there is no blood or anything unusual in my stool.
I have an appointment with my doctor scheduled for Monday, but my question is whether I should be worried? Or should I try to move the appointment up a bit?
Good evening,
If you have never had problems with bowel movements in the past years, it is important to clarify this constipation. Eating only once a day is unusual and causes a lack of fiber. So if the stool is not hard but simply small, it may be simply due to the lack of fiber.
Unfortunately, you did not write your age; if you are over 55, a colonoscopy would be advisable in any case.
Also, a gynecological examination should be carried out because of the thickening, if the last one was a while ago. It could also be a large ovarian cyst that is causing the constipation.
Since you have no pain and no blood in the stool, the examination on Monday is good enough. If you have any complaints, please reschedule it.
Sincerely, Dr. Frauke Höllering, Specialist in Internal and General Medicine
