Nausea from homesickness?
Good evening! For about a week now, I have been experiencing stomach problems that manifest as nausea. I asked a doctor and he said that since it is nausea without diarrhea, it is not a stomach virus. I had already ruled out a stomach virus because it would have passed by now. The doctor suggested that it might be gastritis. I am scheduled to have an endoscopy. However, last night I also had diarrhea. I can't eat much and have already lost 5 kg. For treatment, I am taking MCP drops and Vomacur tablets. But now I have another idea. Homesickness? I moved from Halle (Saale) to near Aachen on 15.08.2011, which is about 500 km away. I was home about 3 weeks ago, and my mother cried when I left. For the past week, I have been experiencing nausea. When I talk to my mother on the phone, I cry afterwards and want to go home. Can stomach problems be caused by homesickness? What can be done about it? Unfortunately, there are no pills for homesickness. Should I perhaps talk to my general practitioner about it?
