Small white yellow pimples on the lacrimal caruncle

Hello, I have been having problems with my eyes for 2 months now. At first, only a small blood vessel was visible and occasionally disappeared when rubbed. Then the eye became increasingly red. I experienced stabbing, itching, and slight discomfort in the eye. I went to the eye doctor and was diagnosed with a mild conjunctivitis. The doctor said it would go away with allergy drops. After a week, there was still no improvement. The eye doctor prescribed antibiotic drops for a bacterial infection. Still no improvement after a week, and then the above-mentioned pimples appeared, which are only visible when standing close to a mirror with a flashlight. I was then sent to an eye clinic, where they took swabs from both eyes. The results were negative, only indicating that I had dry eyes. The pain has persisted. I use eye ointment in the evening and eye drops during the day for dry eyes.

What could this be?

Hello,

everything you describe fits the diagnosis from the eye clinic.
You have dry eyes and that's why you first got irritation and then inflammation.
I'm sure you have been prescribed good eye drops, in my experience Artelac drops are particularly good. Especially now at the beginning you probably have to use them every 2-3 hours so that your eyes are no longer too dry. If that's not enough, you can temporarily use ointment overnight, for example Bepanthen ointment, and cortisone as ointment or drops. You can have these prescribed by your family doctor.
With a little patience and "diligence" you should feel better soon.

Best regards
