Glaucoma

Good morning, I am very desperate about my eyes. I took Latanoprost comp but my intraocular pressure did not decrease, it was 28/28 and I experienced heart problems and coughing. I have now been lasered on my left eye and the pressure is 34/34, I am now taking Latanoprost without comp. Additionally, I am taking Dorzolamid AL, which I had previously not tolerated well, causing inflammation of the eyelid and edge. What else can I do to lower the pressure? Avoid watching TV and using the computer? Or what else? I am really desperate, what good is a healthy body if I go blind?! I am 61 years old and female. Thank you in advance for your help.
Hello,
I am happy to help you further.
In any case, it is important to avoid straining the eyes. Long periods of reading, watching TV, working on the computer, sewing, knitting, etc. can be very taxing on the eyes and should be avoided until your pressure has improved.
The current inflammation in the eye contributes to the increase in pressure and should be treated immediately. If there is an underlying infection, it should be treated specifically, with identification of the germ and targeted germ treatment.
The drainage of aqueous humor can be improved through surgery. I recommend that you visit a university eye clinic where they will help you to lower the pressure in the long term, in order to protect the optic nerve and prevent blindness.
