Neurologically unclear syncope
Hello, I am M, 25 years old, 180cm, 78 kg. I have been suffering from severe hypertension for 5 years, have emphysema in my lungs, and have been experiencing unclear syncope episodes for years. These episodes occur suddenly and without warning. Neurologically, everything has been ruled out at our hospital. Cardiologically, an event recorder was implanted in me, but so far it has not recorded anything and a cardiac cause can likely be ruled out. My last episode was shortly before Christmas and the hospital sent me home because all options have been exhausted. Recently, I had an appointment with a neurologist for referral to a neurological specialist clinic in HH Alsterdorf. As diagnoses, he writes: syncope of unclear origin, dissociative disorders. What are these and what happens if it remains unclear? I have also been banned from driving.
