weight gain

Hello!
I have had VF since 2003, quite well adjusted with Bisoprolol, Ramipril, and Digitoxin. No shortness of breath, sometimes chest pains. No measurable vessel constrictions. Last check at the end of January, blood thinning INR 2.5. For the past few days, I have been gaining about 1 kg of weight daily. I have severe back pain and occasional extra beats. Thank you. J. E. 65 years old

Please excuse the late response to your question.

Your weight gain could mean that your kidney is not functioning as it should.
Therefore, you should see your primary care physician or internist as soon as possible, preferably today, for a physical examination and possibly a blood test, as well as possibly an EKG for the extra heartbeats.

Sincerely,

Dr. Schaaf
