Sudden onset of pressure pain in the abdomen after eating.
I am female, 27 years old, 163 cm tall and weigh approximately 53 kg.
For the past three days, after every meal (small to normal portions), I suddenly have a pressure in my stomach (I can't stop eating as quickly as it starts). It feels like it's about to burst. The pressure is in the upper to middle abdomen (up to just above the navel). This pressure pain lasts for several hours, then almost immediately a feeling of hunger returns, which I can only satisfy very cautiously because the slightest bite triggers the pain again.
I have been under a lot of stress lately, I regularly drink one to two beers in the evening, occasionally smoke (2-3 cigarettes a week, previously I smoked about half to one pack a day and just quit - well, except for the 2-3 a week), drink several cups of coffee daily, and follow a vegan diet (for 1.5 years).
Today, I have been very careful to eat minimal meals throughout the day (a bite of bread, a small soy yogurt). But now I have these pains again, but this time only slightly. My stomach is soft and not bloated.
My bowel movements have been normal again this week. Last weekend (just before this phenomenon started) I had some stomach pain because I hadn't had a bowel movement for probably a week (which I hadn't noticed). But it normalized over the weekend.
I have always had a sensitive gastrointestinal area and tend to be constipated, but this phenomenon is quite annoying and I wonder if it is inflammation or an ulcer, and what I can do (besides giving up alcohol, cigarettes, and coffee) to treat it.
Thank you for your help...
