Stomach pressure 2 hours after eating

Dear Sir or Madam,

Female, 43 years old, happily married, self-employed, sensitive, irritable.

For about 5 weeks now, I have been feeling a pressure just above my belly button about 2-3 hours after eating. It feels like my stomach wants to growl, but can't. When I place my hand on my stomach, I occasionally feel it contracting or air rolling around.... Depending on the type of food, gurgling and later burping of air are added to the symptoms. Often, the lower abdomen also becomes bloated. I have no pain, bowel movements are normal (2 times a day).

It may feel like the food prepared by the stomach wants to pass through the pylorus into the intestine, but it is too narrow or irritated..... Is there such a thing?

I mostly feel the above described symptoms (I eat in the evening) when lying down. During the day, I hardly feel these sensations. Five months ago, I switched my morning coffee for herbal tea with honey because I felt a bit queasy and nervous from coffee. Overall, I eat very well. Only freshly cooked food, lots of vegetables, little meat and mostly organic, but: I enjoy eating cheese with fresh carrots, I eat very quickly and in the evening I often snack on various things while cooking. Cream cheese, whole grain salt sticks, chips, a piece of chocolate before and after the main meal are included. I almost always have wine to relax while cooking. I love eating and the relaxing wine (or beer) in the evening with my husband and dogs, and often friends on the sofa. I am slim, no weight fluctuations (63 kg at 1.76 m), lots of sports and fresh air. My job (sales) is stressful. What else: I am currently very irritable, but I actually have no reason to be. However, I suffer from bullying by the neighbors because of the dogs.
Potential risks (worms bacteria): Two dogs that often lick my face, 1 aquarium.

Past: Occasionally an irritated stomach with nausea. I solved it with Iberogast (1 day and it was gone).

Allergies: None known. But I can't tolerate apple spritzer and tomatoes. I'm not sure about cheese.

I have never had this described feeling that worries me, it is completely new to me, so I am concerned.

Otherwise: Incredibly healthy (-: - no medication or previous illnesses.

I am going on vacation on April 13 and won't get a doctor's appointment before then. Therefore, I would appreciate it if you could give me an indication of whether a delayed doctor's visit here could pose a risk. Perhaps you have helpful approaches for a diagnosis. Unfortunately, I don't know how far you can go with 25 euros (-;

Dear inquirer,

Your complaints do not sound like a serious illness, but it will only be clarified after a visit to the doctor and some examinations what is going on. It could be a case of an irritated stomach, but a disorder in the small intestine or in the area of the gallbladder are also possible.
It would be advisable to have an ultrasound of the abdomen coupled with liver function tests and possibly a gastroscopy. If Iberogast is no longer helping you, you could try if treatment with Omeprazole, a medication that reduces stomach acid, works better. You can now get this without a prescription.

Do you have any questions?
