Thyroid gland sick?

For several months, I have been experiencing a severe decline in performance, feelings of fatigue, headaches and neck pain, dizziness, and deteriorating vision in one eye. At the same time, I have consistently elevated liver values, which were attributed to liver steatosis after a biopsy. Additional internal examinations such as gastroscopy and colonoscopy, as well as a cranial MRI, have been carried out without any findings.

In a blood test, the following thyroid values were determined: TSH basal 3.33 (0.24-4.2 normal range), ft 3 4.2 (2.57-4.43), ft 4 1.3 (0.93-1.7). Additionally, a TPO antibody value of 61.9 (60 normal) was identified, slightly above the normal value. However, my treating physician did not provide further information on this. Do you think this requires further diagnostics? An ultrasound has already been performed, which was unremarkable.

Thank you!

Good evening,

these TPO values are not concerning. In autoimmune inflammation of the thyroid gland, the values often rise to over 500 or even 1000. Therefore, there is really no reason for concern here. I do not think further examination and clarification regarding these values are necessary.

All the best

Kind regards
