Ask a doctor on the topic of Internal medicine

Further diagnosis

A hepatic cyst measuring 1.4 cm was diagnosed during an MRI examination. I also have symptoms such as itching of the nose, ears, and eyes, as well as anal and skin itching, and breathing problems. Should I have this investigated further?

Dear inquirer,

Regarding the liver cyst, this is usually a harmless incidental finding, which should be monitored regularly based on the recommendation of your gastroenterologist or radiologist.

As for the other symptoms, allergies and asthma should be ruled out. I would suggest a prick test (skin test) and a lung function test.

Additionally, I would recommend a simple stool examination for worms specifically for the anal itching, as a precaution.

Usually, the family doctor can initially address all mentioned symptoms.

I hope this information helps you further.

Kind regards
