Dry mouth
During a gastroscopy, areas of inflammation of the mucous membrane and weakness of the lower esophageal sphincter were found. I must have acid reflux, so to speak. I have been experiencing belching for years without any discomfort or complaints. Since the beginning of November, I have had a dry mouth and after a long search, I found out that it is coming from the stomach, irritating the esophagus, causing difficulty swallowing, and leading to a dry mouth. However, I have never noticed anything, completely pain-free. Just symptoms! Question: could it be another acid/base, bile, etc. causing these symptoms? Since I have not noticed anything, I have obviously continued to live like before. The doctor also did not tell me anything, at my own request I am taking Pantoprazole. So far, no significant improvement.
