Colic and laxative drops

Good evening,

I, female, 25, suffer from chronic constipation and experience slowly developing intestinal colic around 2-3 times a year, like today. Usually, they disappear after two days. I use laxoberal drops every 7-10 days and would actually need to take them again today. My question to you: can I take the drops despite the colic, or is it dangerous, etc.? It could also be that the pain improves after a bowel movement.

Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
C. Schäfer

Good evening,

It is not dangerous to take Laxoberal now, but it could exacerbate the colic. That's why I advise against it. You don't "have" to take it at all, but you could also promote bowel movements with flea or flax seeds, prunes, or macrogol.

Sincerely, Dr. Gehring
