short duration of menstruation

Hello,
since my second pregnancy, my period only lasts between one and two days (previously four to five days). The intensity is normal. According to the doctor, the lining of the uterus is normal. What could be the reason for this?
Good day,
It could be a hormonal imbalance. I would recommend testing TSH, prolactin, progesterone, LH, FSH, and estrogen levels if you have a desire to conceive again. You should also consider measuring your temperature to determine if ovulation is occurring. For example, it is possible that prolactin levels are slightly elevated, which may shorten your menstrual cycle but still allow for ovulation.
If you do not have any further desire to conceive, then you can simply be happy that your menstrual cycle is not as long. If all routine check-ups are normal, then there is no need for further action.
Warm regards,
Dr. Höllering
