Pregnancy
Hello,
I had my last period on May 7, 2009, and took a pregnancy test on June 3 and 16, both of which were negative. However, I found it strange that my period did not come, as it was usually very regular every 26 days. I had a slight spotting on May 23, which was more like pink discharge, and again on June 9. So I thought, okay, my period will probably come soon. Time passed, nothing happened. On Monday, July 20, I took another pregnancy test. This time it was positive.
Yesterday, I went to see my doctor and she confirmed the pregnancy. However, not at the 11th or 12th week as I thought, but she measured it at 1.1 cm and estimated it to be the 8th week.
Now I am very worried if everything is okay, or if there is something wrong with the "little one". Left behind, underdeveloped... I also asked the doctor about it and she said everything is fine. The heart is beating and it is not uncommon. I am just not entirely convinced...
Now my question: I am 41 years old, and had early miscarriages in the 7th week in 2002 and 2007.
Should I consult another doctor or could everything really be fine and I can finally be happy about the pregnancy? :-)
Warm regards
P.S. Could this possibly be related to an underactive thyroid?
