Tingling tongue? Help cervical spine!

I took a Fenistil last night (had a slight histamine attack). For the past hour, I have been experiencing tingling on my tongue. I have massive problems with the 1st and 2nd cervical vertebrae (Atlas pain). I just came from sports and am celebrating my birthday this afternoon. Could the tingling on my tongue be related to the cervical spine? I am also quite tense. Yesterday, I drank very cold beverages and also had gum bleeding at the dentist last week. I also went to the hairdresser today and the sink is always a pain for my neck. Could I have pinched something there that I didn't notice before? It doesn't feel like I moved incorrectly. I also slept very poorly in the last 2 nights. My primary care physician will not be back until Monday. I do not have high blood pressure, my thyroid is fine. I am a semi-professional athlete and regularly monitored for my health. I have Hashimoto's disease, endometriosis, lactose, and fructose allergies. I do not smoke or drink alcohol. Could it be related to the cervical spine or lack of sleep?

Dear questioner,
Tongue sensations are a common symptom in psychosomatic illnesses, so it may be that insomnia and the other symptoms are related to this. Organic causes could include fungal infections of the tongue, iron or vitamin deficiencies. Have an ENT doctor look into it if it doesn't go away. Regards, C. Welsch
