Mosquito bite - Swollen ankle after mosquito bite

Hello,
I was bitten by a mosquito (insect) near my ankle on Saturday or Sunday evening.
When I came home from work, I noticed that it was not only itching, but also swollen. There is a fairly strong swelling of about 3 cm around the mosquito bite. It itches, the mosquito bite itself hurts and is warm. Only the mosquito bite itself is red, the rest looks normal but is swollen (looks like a swollen ankle injury).
Now the question is, what can be done?
I have various home remedies at home (Fenistil, cortisone cream, etc.).... I also have antibiotics, Doxycycline and Ciprofloxacin... The question is whether these antibiotics help with insect bites.
Perhaps you have a tip for me....
Dear inquirer,
The fact that the swelling appeared with a certain delay may suggest an infection of the skin. You should have a doctor take a look at it. For the allergic component of the swelling, Fenistil cream and Cetirizine tablets (available over the counter at the pharmacy) may help. I would only take an antibiotic after inspection by a doctor. Doxycycline would likely be too weak in such a case, and Ciprofloxacin may not be suitable. Normally, infections from mosquito bites are caused by Streptococci or Staphylococci, so Penicillins and Cephalosporins would be given. If the redness spreads smoothly and is well defined, this is called Erysipelas.
