Ask a doctor on the topic of General medicine

Cold question

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have the following problem.

From Sunday until yesterday, I had a sore throat, which likely came overnight due to overly warm heating air, but improved over time and has been gone since yesterday. I went to the doctor on Wednesday and she looked into my throat and told me to continue drinking tea and wait it out, only coming back if I feel very sick or develop a fever. Okay, my body temperature has been consistently low since Sunday, measured under the armpit at 35.5-35.8, which is normal for me, so no fever.
Since last night, I have had a very slight runny nose and sometimes need to cough lightly. But I wouldn't describe it as a constant cough. I have been taking it easy the past few days but still leading a "normal life," including three 45-minute walks a day but no exercise.

Now to my questions:

1. What should I do, should I make another appointment if it doesn't get better over the weekend? I am drinking a lot of water and tea and will start taking Gelomyrtol-forte today. For the sore throat, I had taken Neo-Angin.
2. Can I move normally (walks, etc.) because I don't have a fever without risking myocarditis?

Kind regards and have a nice day.

Dear inquirer, you are describing symptoms of a viral infection. Your course of action is correct, but if you continue to have symptoms for a longer period, it may be a good idea to have an ENT doctor take a look, as they can assess the mucous membranes better. From what you describe, I consider an infection requiring antibiotics to be almost ruled out.
There is nothing wrong with exercising, but if you want the official opinion of a doctor on the topic of sports during an infection, they will always tell you to recover first and then start exercising. My experience shows that myocarditis usually occurs when a severe infection is ignored and physical strain is added.

Get well soon, do you have any questions?
