Electric shock faucet

Dear Sir or Madam,
I generally get scared quickly, which is why my question may seem silly. About two hours ago, I received an electric shock from my water tap. After that, I touched the tap three more times and nothing happened. I only read over the weekend that heart rhythm disturbances can occur up to 24 hours later.
If I was able to touch the tap multiple times afterwards, it was probably just a static charge, right? Can the water tap trigger a dangerous shock for me? Should I see a doctor or was it just a larger self-charged static shock?
I know it sounds stupid, but I want to be sure.
Yours sincerely
Good evening,
as you suspected, it was just a static charge. You don't need to go to the doctor for that. The information about 24-hour monitoring is still in the textbooks, but it is generally being discussed, as in household accidents and with a healthy heart, without electrical burns or initial problems, there is hardly ever any follow-up necessary.
None of this applies to your case, so you can go to bed feeling completely safe. It is not expected that you will have any problems as a result of this incident. I hope you can now sleep well. Best regards, Dr. R. Berg
