after gonococcal infection still complaints
Hello,
I have the following problem... in November of last year, I had clear discharge from the penis and it burned when urinating. Additionally, during the time I had this problem, I did not get an erection. I then went to the urologist. He diagnosed a gonococcal infection with urethritis and balanitis. I was prescribed Doxycycline, which I had to take for 10 days. When the therapy with "Doxy" was almost finished, I also had a fully developed erection again (all other symptoms were also gone at that time). About 5 days after finishing the Doxycycline, my penis started itching. Additionally, I had yellowish-green discharge. Since then, I have also had erection problems again (I had difficulty getting a full erection and if I did, it didn't last very long). Also, since then, I have not had a fully developed morning erection. I then went back to the urologist... who prescribed me Nifurantin. Unfortunately, that did not help either. In early January, I went to the dermatologist. He took swabs for bacteria, all negative. Urine was also sent to the lab... Negative result. After a few weeks, the discharge completely disappeared.
Now my question...
1. Is it possible that despite all negative swabs, there are still residual gonococcal elements "dormant" in me?
A little about me... I recently turned 30 years old.
