Sun allergy?

I am in Spain and have had red, highly itchy pimples on my forearms and shins for almost 14 days. The pharmacy suspects a sun allergy. How long can this last? I have been avoiding the sun ever since! Despite taking 1000mg of calcium and using 5mg of hydrocortisone cream, it is not getting better. What else can I do? Regards.

Dear inquirer, most patients who react to the sun with blisters do so due to a lack of vitamin D. Get high-dose vitamin D; however, I am not sure if you can get it in Spain without a prescription. Regards, Welsch
