Hay fever and antibiotics

Hello,
I have hay fever.
Recently, I had to take the following antibiotics: Amoxicillin, Clarithromycin.
During this time, I was almost completely symptom-free!
Two days after stopping the antibiotics, my hay fever starts again - as usual - despite Levocetirizine.
Can any insights be derived from this for relieving my symptoms?
Dear questioner, this is a question that cannot be easily answered, as it depends on many things...
- Since the beginning of spring, when the brutal pollen flight of birch, alder, and hazel really started, which is pushing almost all allergy sufferers to their limits, it may be that this was not as strong during the time of antibiotic therapy and is now distorting your perception.
- Unfortunately, you did not mention why you were prescribed antibiotics. If it was for a respiratory infection with a swollen nose, it is possible that the pollen did not reach where they could cause harm.
Please see an ENT doctor for an examination.
If Levocetirizine is not sufficient, please consider combining it with a corticosteroid nasal spray, which is now available over the counter at pharmacies (e.g. Momeallerg spray). If you have a chronic allergy (to dust mites, pet dander, or mold), these are also covered by insurance.
Consider discussing immunotherapy (desensitization) with your doctor.
