Thrombosis prophylaxis

Dear Sir or Madam,
I have questions regarding thrombosis prophylaxis. On 02.02.10, I underwent arthroscopic surgery on my right shoulder and a Bankart repair was performed. I was instructed to take thrombosis injections until 16.02.10, after which I stopped. However, I am still concerned about developing thrombosis. Can I safely start taking the injections again as a precaution? Is there a risk of developing thrombosis? My shoulder is being moved through physiotherapy and at home as much as the pain allows, otherwise it is immobilized with a shoulder abduction pillow. I am quite active at home.
I would appreciate a response, as I am unsure of how to proceed and my fear of developing thrombosis is increasing.
Thank you in advance.
Dear inquirer,
Thrombosis prophylaxis with heparin injections has been carried out correctly according to current guidelines for over two weeks after the arthroscopy. Since you are already in the mobilization phase as described, continuation of the above-mentioned thrombosis prophylaxis is no longer necessary. At this point, I would like to point out that in rare cases, serious side effects can occur with heparin injections, so a benefit-risk ratio must always be ensured when using them. Additionally, thrombotic events in the upper extremities occur very rarely compared to the legs, even with immobilization and surgeries. So, you do not need to start applying the injection daily again. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope I could alleviate your fears.
Best regards, O. Stephan.
