How long does my seam need to be fixed?

Hello!
I fell on Sunday and had to get stitches on my chin (small scar, about 1.5cm). The stitches were done with self-dissolving thread and fixed with adhesive strips.
The doctor at the hospital told me to be careful for 2 days because although the stitches look better cosmetically, they are more unstable than when stitched with a thread that needs to be removed later.
Unfortunately, I forgot to ask in the excitement:
How long should the adhesive strips stay on? Do they need to be changed and when can I start exercising again?
Dear inquirer, I would leave the adhesive bandage on for 5 days, if in doubt, have your family doctor take a look. You can also try to remove absorbable threads, a stitch is always a foreign body that the skin tries to get rid of. You should be able to do sports again after a week, as long as you avoid activities where the wound can be injured (team or ball sports).
A small wound should be so tightly healed after three days that water can no longer penetrate it without complications.
Any more questions? Regards, Welsch
