Accident with ankle problems

I had an accident where I slipped at the end of March, and now I went to the doctor again because I still have pain. An MRI showed the following findings: Ligament structures intact, slight edema-equivalent signal alterations on the ventral tibia and in the ventral talus. These areas show decreased signal in T1, but the cortical rim is intact. Adjacent to the talus, there are accompanying small cartilage destructions (grade 3 according to Outerbridge classification) with minimal joint effusion and regular cartilage covering the joint surfaces. Assessment: Traumatic bone bruise on the ventral tibia and talus with adjacent cartilage defect and accompanying joint effusion.

My question is, in the report, the cartilage defect is described as up to grade 3 of the Outerbridge classification, just before it says small cartilage defect. How serious is this cartilage defect now, and what will it mean for me in terms of treatment? What should I expect?

I would really appreciate a quick response.
