White painful spots in the throat

Hello,

For about a week now, I have been experiencing one-sided pain in my throat, especially when swallowing, but otherwise I have no signs of a cold. (Usually, throat pain lasts only a few days for me and then turns into a cold.)

Today, I took a look into my throat and noticed 3-4 white spots at the painful area. It's difficult to photograph, but attached is my best attempt (see to the right of the uvula, behind the tongue).

Could you help me determine what this could be? Canker sores? I can only see a doctor on Friday at the earliest - unless it is something that requires urgent examination.

Thank you in advance for your feedback!

Hello dear questioner, this looks like a tonsillitis, but the image quality is poor. Please show it to a doctor. Regards, Welsch
