Noise at the World Cup

During the World Cup games, especially in public places, it can get very loud, mainly because of those terrible vuvuzelas. I tend to stay in quieter areas, but there is always a certain level of noise. Could this have lasting damage on my hearing?
No, just for your nerves.
An impairment of hearing can occur, for example, with frequent visits to discos where you stand or dance directly in front of the speakers. However, they would have to be turned up very loud and you would have to go there really often, for example, several hours every week for months.
With vuvuzelas, no matter how annoying they are, a lasting impairment of hearing is not to be feared.
Sincerely,
Dr. Schaaf
