Eaglesyndrome

Dear doctors,

My question is:
Is there a method to determine or rule out Eagle syndrome as the cause of certain symptoms?

About me:
Gender - male
Age - 24
I have been experiencing pain/pressure behind/under my ears for about 5 years, which also leads to headaches, fatigue, and difficulty concentrating.
After endless examinations, something was detected on a CT scan (neck area).
-> "On both sides, there is evidence of a gradual ossification of the stylohyoid ligament, 12mm on the right and 15mm on the left."

Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
GN

Dear inquirer, In the case of Eagle syndrome, it is important in my opinion that the Processus Styloideus is longer than normal and pressing somewhere. You should have an examination at a center for swallowing disorders, I would recommend being referred by your general practitioner to a university clinic. If it is Eagle syndrome, there is an operation that can provide relief (but it is not easy). Regards, welsch
