Dear Sir or Madam,
As part of an MRI of the elbow, the following findings were noted: Activated blood formation in the distal humerus and proximal radius. Diffuse, slight signal enhancements in the T2-weighted bone marrow of the distal humerus metaphysis and radius metaphysis. If no anemia or other cause is known, a differential blood count is recommended (performed today, results are still pending). Furthermore, the report also mentions tendinopathy of the distal biceps tendon with irritation of the bursa bizipi radialis.
Do I need to be concerned about leukemia based on the findings? And how is tendinopathy plus irritation treated? Unfortunately, I only have an appointment with my orthopedist on Monday. Thank you in advance for your help.
