Light yards and light sensitivity
Hello,
I, male and 26 years old, have had a slightly increased light sensitivity and a slight vision disorder, also known as eye noise, for about 3-5 months.
Subjectively, the trigger was an inflammation of the right tear duct, which was treated with irrigation and eye drops (Floxal and over-the-counter eye drops that should expand the tear duct(?)), since then these vision disorders have become more prominent.
These occurred simultaneously with severe tension in the neck, so it is difficult to say exactly what the trigger was.
Since then, I have noticed particularly that I see halos around light sources (street lamps) and "spikes" around car headlights. Sometimes I also see a very faint rainbow.
What is new is that I also notice this with lighter light sources, such as taillights, etc.
I went to the ophthalmologist with these symptoms, where my retina was examined and was found to be normal. I have good vision and a slight astigmatism. Unfortunately, I did not find out the reason for the above-mentioned problems.
The symptomatology of the halos and eye noise is not completely new, I have had this since childhood, but unfortunately I no longer have a comparison of how severe it was earlier. However, I feel that the eye noise has become stronger and the halos around small light sources were not as pronounced. The phenomena are identical in both eyes.
What could be the cause of this and should I be worried?
