Veil vision in measles

My wife has measles and as a result has developed an eye infection. The redness in her eyes has subsided by now. (She took Refobacin drops for 2 days, then switched to Hylo Comod drops.) However, since yesterday she has been experiencing blurred vision. She sees as if she had just put in Aqua Tears all day. Is this a normal symptom or should we be worried?
Dear Inquirer,
Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is a common symptom of measles and typically resolves uncomplicatedly as the illness subsides. However, if eye symptoms persist as you described, there may also be a bacterial or viral superinfection of the eye (such as the cornea), facilitated by the temporary immune weakness caused by the measles infection. Therefore, it would be advisable to consult an eye doctor if in doubt, as a diagnosis can be quickly made through an examination of the eye using a slit lamp.
Best regards, O. Stephan.
