Ask a doctor on the topic of Neurology

Follow-up question

Good evening,

I have to ask again, I'm sorry. The bracket hit my temple relatively quickly, could it cause an epidural hematoma? I have read that it does not require loss of consciousness and does not require a strong trauma. How long could symptoms occur and how likely is it?

Best regards,

I know I tend towards hysteria.... =)

It's a shame that you still have so many worries!

An epidural hematoma causes symptoms within 24 hours because it develops much faster and has less space. So that was never an option from the start.

At this point, neither an epidural nor a subdural hematoma are possibilities.

I apologize for the delay in my response due to the holiday, and I hope you have enjoyed skiing in the meantime.

All the best!

Warm regards, Dr. Höllering
