Stomach problems

Dear medical team,

I have been suffering from stomach problems for years, starting in 2009 with 3 stomach ulcers caused by the H. pylori infection. Since then, I have had a stomach endoscopy twice a year and have had the H. pylori infection each time. In the last 4-5 days, I have also experienced severe pressure in my stomach, and sometimes, when I eat, I immediately have diarrhea. My stomach rumbles and I sometimes have pain. I am a 28-year-old male and have some concerns about pancreatic cancer due to my mother's aunt dying from this type of cancer. Lately, I have been feeling unwell, sometimes weak, and I often get shaky, which could be due to not drinking enough water or sometimes experiencing hypoglycemia. However, this problem has been going on for a while. Should I be concerned?

Thank you.

Dr. med. Frauke Gehring

Good evening,

Pancreatic cancer is rare and does not cause digestive problems or stomach pain, but rather nagging back pain. Therefore, this concern is unnecessary.
The symptoms you described could be due to poor nutrition, but also food intolerance. I suggest that you try eating healthy and see if it improves. If not, you should be tested for lactose, fructose, sorbitol, and gluten intolerance.

Warm regards, Dr. Höllering
