Headache/Circulation

For the past year, I have occasionally experienced a short, sharp headache in my forehead that occurs when I quickly bend down (head forward), do push-ups, cough, or even on roller coasters with negative G-forces. I exercise, do not smoke, and have normal blood pressure. Initially, I thought it might be related to my sinus cavity, but the results, including the MRI, were negative. It is likely related to a brief increase in blood pressure. What could this be, and which doctor would be responsible for this?

Dear inquirer,

Please consult an ENT specialist. The symptoms you have described may well be related to frontal sinus issues if the pressure equalization of the paranasal sinuses is disrupted. In this case, nothing may be seen in the MRI. Depending on the findings, I would suggest trying a nasal spray containing cortisone to see if the symptoms improve.

Kind regards,
C. Welsch
