Elevated creatinine levels

Dear expert,
I have a question regarding the interpretation and consequences of my kidney values. I am 68 years old, 170 cm, 65 kg.
My current values are:
Cystatin C 1.09 ml/l
GFR-Cystatin C 65.4
Total cholesterol 227
Uric acid 6.0
Creatinine 1.03
GFR (CKD-EPI) 56.0 ml/l/1.73m2BSA
Within the normal range are:
C-reactive protein, glucose/plasma, urea, sodium, potassium, erythrocyte sedimentation rate
Urinalysis is normal
Blood pressure approximately 130/70, sometimes slightly lower
No abnormalities of the kidneys found in the ultrasound examination (urologist)
Reference value from 2010:
Creatinine 0.82 mg/ml
How do you assess the values and what are the implications for me?
Thank you and best regards.
Good day,
The kidney function values are still within the normal range. I would only take this as an opportunity to critically question my daily intake of fluids. It should be 1 to 1.5 liters, no more.
Unfortunately, you did not mention your gender. For a woman, the uric acid value is at the upper limit, while for a man it is within the normal range. High uric acid values can eventually cause a gout attack. As a woman, dietary measures should be taken (reduce alcohol, meat, and legumes). For a man, the value can remain as it is.
The cholesterol level is borderline high. Here, I would like to determine the LDL cholesterol, which should be below 130 (if you were heart disease, below 100 mg%). Slightly elevated levels call for restraint in consuming animal fats and more exercise. Plant-based fats do not increase cholesterol levels.
I wish you all the best!
Warm regards, Dr. Höllering
