2mg Chlormadinone - truly safe contraception?
Hello,
my friend has a prescription for "Chlormadinon 2 mg fem JENAPHARM", which, according to her gynecologist, should be used as the sole (!) method of contraception.
After researching online, we have doubts about whether taking this medication (without combining it with Ethinylestradiol) is really "safe", as it is clearly not approved for contraception. The gynecologist says it's fine, she knows what she's doing. We are now a bit unsure.
We are aware that there is never 100% certainty, but we would like a second opinion, as contraception would then solely rely on Chlormadinon 2 mg fem JENAPHARM.
Thank you
