Inhaled minced meat

Dear Sir or Madam, last night while slurping a soup, I accidentally "inhaled" a small piece of minced meat. I did not have an immediate urge to cough, and I did not cough it out afterwards. I do not have any trouble breathing or wheezing. However, I do have a strange feeling in my throat and occasional urge to cough. Do I need to do anything? If it really went into my lungs... will it dissolve on its own or should I expect problems? I am not sure if the symptoms are more psychosomatic...

Dear questioner, organic material is broken down by the body. If the throat continues to itch, have an ENT specialist take a look at it. Regards, Welsch
