Blood pressure during a panic attack

Hello,

my name is Sebastian.
A little about me: I have a long history with my panic attacks / heart neurosis.
I regularly measure my blood pressure and used to take Opipramol in the past.
I have also been to the emergency room a few times because of it.

Now to my concerns.
Yesterday evening, after a long time, I had a very strong panic attack again.
I got worked up again, but this time I didn't stop measuring my values.
My highest blood pressure was 217/100
Pulse around 160
Is that still normal or should I be worried?
My values were back in the normal range yesterday evening. Today as well all day.
Normally I have values around 130/80
Pulse around 65
Can you get so worked up during a strong panic attack that you have such values?
I had no other complaints.
Just strong fear and trembling...
In the past, I usually stopped measuring at 190/100 to not get worked up further and to calm down.
I probably should have done that yesterday as well.
I read that values up to 230/120 are normal during a strong attack.
Just to reassure myself and not keep asking Google.

Thank you very much.

I look forward to a brief response.

Kind regards,

Sebastian C.

Good day,

A panic attack can actually lead to such values, similar values are also seen when running uphill, for example. The body is in full swing during such an attack. This is normal and should not worry you.

Sincerely, Dr. Gehring
