Pimples at over 30

Hello, I am male, 31 years old and have been getting pimples on my forehead for a few weeks. I didn't even have them in puberty. Using Garnier SkinActive Anti-Acne Wash has made it worse. The only thing that helps a little is the Brasivil Peeling from Stiefel. Sometimes my skin looks shiny and very oily. I have obtained a skin analysis device, which says that my skin is too dry and lacks enough oil. Can the skin generally be too dry and then occasionally become significantly oily? I am currently under a lot of stress at work, and on top of that, my girlfriend left me... Could the pimples be purely stress-related, or is it due to the dry skin? What can I do about it? Thank you.

Hello,

The combination of stress, worry, and possibly too much chocolate or alcohol can really take a toll on your skin. You probably have combination skin, otherwise the exfoliation would not help. These skin analysis devices do not provide the most reliable results, your own treatment experience is more important.
Please eat healthy and allow yourself periods of rest. Wash with clear water or soap-free syndets, and try a light, non-greasy moisturizer. It will surely improve soon.
Some spring sun every day is good for your skin and nerves.

I hope that you will soon feel better emotionally as well!

Sincerely,
Dr. Höllering
