Fifth Rule and Company Pension Scheme.
In 2020, I had a gross income of 105,000€. In 2021, I earned 23,000€ (January to March) in salary, received a severance payment of 91,300€ in April, and received unemployment benefits of 15,000€ from July to December. I planned to invest 45,000€ of the severance payment into company pension funds. However, the payroll department says that the 1/5 rule would not apply in this case. How much should, or can I invest in company pension funds from the severance payment in order to apply the 1/5 rule?
