divorce

Hello
I have an appointment next Wednesday, I am supposed to get divorced. I filed the petition on my own. Now everything has changed. Can I say no? What can I do?
Dear questioner,
I will answer the questions you have asked, taking into consideration the circumstances described and your efforts, as follows:
Have you filed for divorce with the court? Generally, divorce can only be filed with the help of a lawyer. Only in exceptional cases can an exception be made to the requirement of legal representation. I assume that such an exception applies in this case.
In principle, the application can be withdrawn at any time until the judgment, which is the court's decision. If the application was filed by a lawyer, it should also be withdrawn by the lawyer. However, since you filed the application on your own, you should prepare a written submission to the court and withdraw the divorce application.
Finally, I must point out that this platform cannot replace detailed and personal legal advice. The only goal is to provide an initial rough assessment of your legal problem based on the information you have provided to a lawyer. The legal advice I have provided is based solely on the facts you have provided. Adding or omitting relevant information in your description of the situation could lead to a completely different legal assessment.
I hope I have given you an initial overview and that my explanations have been helpful. Please feel free to contact me through the follow-up option on this platform.
Furthermore, I am available for legal representation. The initial consultation fee you paid would be fully credited.
Distance between lawyer and client is generally not a problem. With the help of modern communication tools such as email, mail, fax, and telephone, legal representation is also possible.
Yours sincerely,
