Support payment to parents
My father is in a nursing home. I have now been contacted by the social welfare office regarding disclosure of my finances. I always read about the personal allowance on the internet. Does this mean that this is the amount that must be left after deducting all my expenses for me, or for me and my husband? Is it correct that this amount is €2,400 for married couples? We do not own any property, we live in a rented property. We are both employed. I earn €1,400 net, my husband earns around €1,800. I would like to thank you for any information provided.
