BTM and driver's license

Facts:

On 18.02.2011 at 11pm, I was stopped by the traffic police, and they checked my pupils but there was no reaction. After that, the officers conducted a drug test which showed positive results for THC and amphetamines after about 10 minutes. They then performed a breathalyzer test which showed 0.0. The officers then took me to the station, where they took a blood sample and confiscated my driver's license. I had the option to voluntarily surrender it or have it confiscated. I chose to surrender it voluntarily. Now I have to wait for the results of the blood test, as I do not consume alcohol or drugs.

As I work as a driver and depend on my license, not having it now may result in losing my job.

I want to reiterate that I do not take drugs.

The only thing I took on that day was one Voltaren Dolo 25 mg tablet as a painkiller and a rheumatism patch. I also drank 0.5 ml of Redbull and ate something the day before.

My question now is, what can I do about my license and my job? Is it possible that my job is now at risk?

Please provide a response.

Dear questioner,

I am happy to answer your question based on your information as follows:

You should definitely hire a defense attorney!
What happens next depends on the results of the blood test. In any case, you should not voluntarily surrender your driver's license and object to any seizure.
It is unclear how the positive rapid test result came about. Normally, medications should not trigger this. However, a defense attorney will address this issue after reviewing the investigation files.
The revocation of the driver's license does not necessarily lead to job loss. Other circumstances must also be considered.
It is important now for a defense attorney to review the files and then respond.
Do not make any statements until then.

I hope I could help you. I am happy to represent you.

Sincerely,

Lawyer Steininger
