Swallowing difficulties
Hello,
for several months now, I have been experiencing a clicking sensation in my throat when swallowing, as well as difficulty swallowing. I do not have any problems when turning my head or extending it backwards.
Since I have private insurance, I have been sent for various (unnecessary?) examinations by the ENT specialists I have visited (swallow X-rays, MRI, massages, cancer screening, thyroid examination), which resulted in the following diagnosis: My larynx is allegedly slightly misaligned to the side, causing these issues.
It seems that they were at a loss as to what to do next, as I was then advised to undergo even more examinations (speech therapist, orthopedist...).
My question is: How can I fix this problem?
Does anyone have experience in this area?
I live in the area near Munich Airport.
Psychosomatic causes can be ruled out, as it seems to be a "mechanical" problem.
