Nose
Dear doctor,
I would like to know if there is anything that can be done for my pain in the back of my nose. Especially after I have slept, it scratches down there every time I breathe.
I am afraid there may be a connection with a nose operation in the summer of 2008 (reduction of nasal mucosa with laser). Too much nasal mucosa was removed during this operation. Where the device was passed over, the mucosa was removed down to the bone. In hindsight, I regret having damaged my nasal mucosa in this way.
My assumption is that due to the lack of nasal mucosa, the incoming air is insufficiently moisturized and warmed. The damaged nasal mucosa reacts with scratching pain.
Is there anything that can be done about the uncomfortable feeling with every breath?
Is there something like a reconstruction of nasal mucosa?
Kind regards,
Inquirer
