Meniscus tears - ganglion

Hello, I have a question about the results of the MRI. I have severe pain in my knee and can hardly walk. I already have an appointment, just waiting for it. I am female, 65 years old. In your opinion, could all of this lead to me needing a new knee joint? Please translate the most important parts for me, thank you.
Kind regards
Hello! According to the MRI findings, the main problem is damage to the medial meniscus. This is a disc-shaped cartilage in the knee joint. Such damage is usually treated by arthroscopic knee surgery. The damaged cartilage is removed, and any loose areas may be reattached. Typically, your findings are not a reason for the implantation of an artificial knee joint, even if your knee also shows signs of "wear and tear" (osteoarthritis). This is not uncommon for your age and does not seem to be your current main problem.
I wish you all the best!
