Meniscus

Hi there, I have a minor meniscus tear in my knee and have already had a CT scan. I experience pain in my knee when under pressure, and one doctor suggested surgery because I also have a misformation of the knee disc. Another doctor prescribed physiotherapy and mentioned that building up the muscles in my knee is important. I'm not sure what to do now, as I work as a gardener and am worried that the meniscus may tear completely while working.
Good evening,
In connection with your professional physical strain and especially the pain, I also consider an arthroscopic/operative intervention to be advisable. It can indeed lead to further tearing, and then surgery is necessary in any case. Not every torn meniscus is operated on, but pain should make surgery worth considering and advisable.
Heat helps well, Arnica oil with Voltaren gel, movement WITHOUT putting strain on the knee, aquajogging, these are measures to alleviate pain and build up muscle. Nevertheless, I consider surgery to be reasonable.
All the best
